not too crunchy

I actually planned out this week to make it less “crunchy” and it’s not going too bad. I haven’t really planned anything out for an entire chunk of time for quite a while. It’s suprisingly satisfying to cross things off lists. And go to sleep at night thinking “I was so awesome at crossing everything off my list today!” I feel like a dork, but I just want to be done so bad that I’ll be organized and slightly hermit like just to have a fairly open weekend and unstressful finals week.

Earlier tonight, Matt & I were talking about this time last year. It’ really strange to think it was a whole year ago that we were all stressing out over the portfolio that got us where we are now. And how in retrospect the stuff was pretty easy, and most of it sucked. It’s kinda nice to feel like I really have improved in just this past year.

Also, as a semi side note, is it wrong that I have a strange affinity for gradients lately? I think I’ve used gradients for 2 different things in the past two weeks, which is like 2 more than I’ve ever used. For a long time I felt like gradients were such a thing of the late 80’s early 90’s, and a big faux pas. But maybe gradients are “in” again? I see them all over the place lately. Maybe technology has just gotten good enough to make them look cool and not just cheezy late 80’s early 90’s. Of course not all gradients are equally good, in fact most of the stuff I see in the real world is like “iew…gradients…what a lame cover up.” But I’ve also seen them used really well recently, so I dunno. Am I the only one that wonders about The Return of Gradients?
