If all goes as planned I’ll be moving next Friday. In my typical idealistic future-oriented way, I am really looking forward it. There is just something nice about the thought of getting a fresh start. I am excited for the next week and a half of purging my stuff and trying to move as little stuff as possible into the new place.
Potential
I also like knowing there is a lot more potentially cool stuff for me to do in Fremont because it is more walkable. Just looking at all those little triangles on Yelp.com makes me really excited. I plan on signing up for a bunch of classes down there. It has been nice living in this quiet residential area as opposed to the U-district, but there’s just not that much around here.
People
I’m a little worried about being lonely out there though. It’s annoying to never have clean common areas and all but it is nice being able to come home to people who I can chill out with or bake & eat things with. Or just do goofy things with. I am not really interested in living by myself. Even though I may not be like a social butterfly I like having other people around. But, for various reasons, I’m not planning on living with the current roomies. But I dunno yet.
Wanted: Housemate
So I am in need of a new housemate. I’m not planning on really looking until I get moved in, so I’d be able to actually show people the place and I wanted to make sure everything went as planed first (still need to sign).
But I just thought I’d get it out there a little ahead of time in case someone was interested, though I don’t know how many people actually read this thing. Here are some of the specs. I’ll upload more pics and more details later. I’ll be putting up a proper ad on CL after I get settled in.
• 3 story, 1220 sq ft, townhouse (bottom floor is pretty much just garage)
• Built in 2001, pretty new appliances and all
• 2 bedrooms with high ceilings & ceiling fans
• 1.5 bathrooms
• Pretty nice kitchen
• Open living/dining area
• Balconies with views of the Lake & Downtown
• Close to Fremont goodies and the Burke
• Close to a bunch of bus lines• Rent: 500 + utils & internet etc
• Move-in September (or earlier)
• Stay for a year
I’m looking for someone around my age who:
• Is responsible (pays rent on time and keeps common areas clean)
• Is enjoyable to live with and hang out with occasionally.
• Doesn’t have pets or smoke anything.
So yeah, that’s basically it. Email me if you have any interest/questions. (Although I’d be suprised if anyone got down this far in the post. It got wordy)
I also just realized the place sort of matches my blog. Weird.
