Hmm.. look like it’s been quite a while since a real update. I just finished all my diary comics for June, which will be uploaded soon. A lot happened in June but those are probably going to be a much more interesting summary of what’s been going on lately than any thing I can type up right now, so I’ll just those images speak for me. I think July is a comic resting month, got other things lined up…
The 5k
More recently, I got to cross off one of the New Years resolutions a few days ago, which was to run a 5k in the summer. Did the Firecracker 5000 again this year. 3.1 miles in 38 minutes. It’s still at my slow pace (12-ish min miles) but still 3 minutes faster than when I ran it last time a few years ago. And I didn’t walk any of it. And I didn’t really feel tired or anything afterwards. Road races are kind of fun, because even though there are hundreds of people who are faster than me in the race it’s nice to run with a bunch of people who are more closely matched to my pace in the back of the pack. Nice to know I’m not the only slow one, cause sometimes it feels that way when everyone’s passing me on the trails.
Relaxing
Also just had a really nice long weekend. Had a small group over for the fourth, made food and watched things explode. Saturday was our 1 year anniversary & we went out to Willows Lodge up in Woodinville. Like a mini-vacation that’s only a half an hour away. It was nice running around trying to get pictures of the baby bunnies outside and enjoying bubble baths inside.
Wall-E
We also just saw Wall-E for the second time tonight. I can’t remember the last movie I went to see in the theaters twice, but it was so good. So simple in so many ways, and yet so awesome. I was revisiting the Buy n Large site tonight. It must have been so much fun to be the copywriter on that site. I sort of want to buy some BnL schwag just cause I think it’s funny, but I’m also kind of conflited cause it feels like the joke would be on me.
Coming up
Gotta finish Secret Project, which was suppose to be an anniversary present but didn’t have enough time for. Pretty excited for it though, hopefully it’ll be cool. Eddie Izzard at the Paramount this week! And now, sleep!
